Facebook plugin comments and SEO

My question about Facebook plugin comments and seo. I am interested if these comments are indexable or not.
I know this is not new topic, I found it even in this Q&A. But it was 4 years ago. Maybe something changed in that period?

In order to make comments indexable they have to be exported via script to the page in question. Are you talking about this blog post? http://moz.com/blog/make-facebook-comments-box-indexable-by-search-engines. As far as I know it still applies.

Ryan is correct, if you cannot see the text in the source code of a page, then the robots cannot see them either. There are not many widgets or plugins out there that are actually fully integrated.
