      Hi,

here i can find your definitions of some titles you have put in your 2011 Search Engine Ranking Factors research like

      "partial anchor text match":

      http://www.seomoz.org/article/search-ranking-factors#methodology

      under Factors.

while “partial match” means that at least one word from the query matches the anchor text.

The factor in the section Domain Level Link Authority Features "The number of external root domains linking to domain with partial anchor text match" have the highest positive correlation in your research.

If my main keyword is "Ferienhaus Dänemark" .

      a) A partial  anchor text match is "Dänemark" with textlink "Dänemark"

      b) A textlink like "Ferienhaus in Dänemark" is also partial text match. In the whole anchor text the main keyword is contained.

Is it possibly from your data to extract the correlation for each case?

      a) at least one word from the query matches the anchor text (now in your report)

      Subsets:

a.1) only a part of the main keyword is contained in the anchor text

a.2) the main keyword is contained in some combination in the anchor text

      Thank you,

I don't think the SEOmoz guys have provided a definitive answer on this anywhere on the site but I opt for many different combinations.  So for example if my target keyword was "red boots" and my domain was Shoesrus you'd probably see my anchor text looking alot like this

"red boots" "Red boots" "red Boots" "Shoesrus Red boots" "Red boots from Shoesrus" "Shoesrus.com Red Boots" "collection or Red Boots"

I try to get the whole keyword in the Anchor text, though I think having "Red" and separate "Boots" in some of your anchor text links wouldn't hurt either.

          Hi,

thanks for your input. I am using the same strategy, but also putting stop words, like "in" between, in your example: "boots in red", "boots with the colour red", etc.

I was only asking me if SeoMoz can provide more precise data for their term "partial anchor text match" .
