Hi, my client has the following links pointing to the home page

      http://www.weddingrings.com/index.cfm

      http://www.weddingrings.com

In this case would I use rel canonical or redirect?

        Hi,

I would use a redirect in this instant, redirecting the /index.cfm page to the main page

        thanks

          A second opinion,

Agreed with SEOVP , this is 100% redirect no need to have both pages if you can avoid this,

          301 Redirect ,

          James
