Dual Authority – Dual Inline Site Links

Ok, I have a quick question about these, i keep seeing them.

There has been talk of Google showing dual inline sitelinks (the extra links it shows under the number 1 results).

It used to show 8 links under many number 1 results. It was reported it was showing 2. Now it’s showing 3 …for example, for comparestore prices, compare the market and pricerunner (for a search on compare).

How do I get these, or go about getting started with being able to attain them?

From Google WMT: "Sitelinks are completely automated, and we show them only if we think they'll be useful to the user. If your site's structure doesn't allow our algorithms to find good sitelinks, or we don't think that the sitelinks are relevant to the user's query, we won't show them."

The only three things I can think of are:

• ensure your site is as crawlable as possible by reviewing and addressing any crawl errors

• consider the layout of your site for the site links. Do you have your site structured in such a way that it has good landing places for a site link? Hierarchical structures with category pages can work well for this use.

• relevancy to the search is also a factor
