I am trying to analyze my site to determine what we may be doing wrong as far as our site goes Ilike everyone else I suppose). In any event I have followed as much as I can from the Moz guideline and tools. We were ranking very well for quite some time and now..kaput. We have tried to make our site faster (using Google Page Speed ..the CDM for GOOGLE). We have also tried redoing out title and description tags to be more search and user friendly. Our site is very fast now...which is good. But we are still not seeing the rankings improvements that we had hoped for. We have built the site using WP and broke the template to make what we feel is an attractive site....used what we feel are the best plugins to capitalize....can anyone give us some feedback to let us know if we are just missing something here. We are RELEVANT to our industry...

It’s a very general question to ask without the specific URL/Domain you are talking about!

If you were ranking well but then dropped then there can be many possibilities and page load time is one of them!

Also, check your links and see if the links that are pointing to your website are of quality and relevant or else there is a huge possibility that the dip in traffic is because of the Google Panda/penguin update!

If you have good amount of duplicate content on your site and you are not using canonicalization to fix it, you will see your rankings will go down for your desired key phrases.

Like I said there are many possibilities so I would love if you can be either more specific with your questions or pass the URL!

This is pretty hard to give a good answer to without knowing the site, but a significant sudden drop is usually not tied to smaller factors like page speed. Rather, they tend to be tied to low quality link building (penguin), low quality content (panda), over optimization penalties, or technical problems (look for noindex, robots.txt, nofollow, canonical issues).

I know it's a bit broad but without a specific URL, I'd start looking there.
