        Hi Bhupesh,

You see these kind of links everywhere for almost any kind of site. I havent looked at it much but I think that some of them create pages when a user goes by and inputs a url for 'domain valuation' or 'seo evaluation' type reports, others might well be semi or fully automated so create pages based on some sort of crawl bot or from lists of registered domain names.

These are really really low value links though, so honestly I wouldnt waste your time actively trying to get them, some you will likely get without any action on your part, but again they are so low value that they are unlikely to give you any ranking benefit. As for why some of the sites you mention seem to be ranking from them, well I expect there is more there than meets the eye. Perhaps they are ranking for very low competition keywords and their onpage stuff is enough to get them there. Could be other reasons also but tough to say without examples.

        Hope that helps!

          Bhupesh,

I agree with Lynn, in that those links are not what's helping that site rank well. Besides the variety of factors that may be helping those thin pages rank better than you, you may also consider what may be holding your page back.  Last week, Rand did a whiteboard Friday where he went over reasons why you may get outranked by a page that seems to be of lower quality than your own. He pointed to these possible reasons:

          Poor search result snippet
          Perceived lower value brand
          Lower design/user experience value
          Citations: (links, social shares, mentions)

          • lower quality
          • lower quantity
          • lower variety
          • lower acceleration rate
            Usefulness or quality of content
          • searcher intent not fully addressed
          • unique value of content not apparent

          Results Biasing

          • due to local results
          • due to mobile results
          • due to specific verticals

          • My affiliate links are being crawled by Google. Is this a bad thing? Also, should I add rel: nofollow to affiliate links?
