Drop in Traffic from Google, However no change in the rankings

I have seen a 20% drop in traffic from google last week (After April 29th). However when I try to analyze the rank of the keywords in the google results that send me traffic they seem to be the same.

Today (6th March) Traffic has fallen further again with not much/any visible change in the rankings. Any ideas on what the reason for this could be?

I have not made any changes to the website recently.

It could be a hundred different things.

End of academic year, cinco de mayo, etc.

If you want to know what's going on, study your analytics to determine which 20% of your traffic disappeared.

Study, not just look.

Study it long enough until you know what traffic from what keywords from what referrer to which pages of your site lost traffic.

Then come back and tell us the story.

Do you get traffic from more than one country? If so, are you checking your rankings in each Google? Are you searching depersonalized?

The last thing, the number of searches does vary, it could just be that there are less searches for your keywords at the moment. Check with google trends.
