Malware

This isnt exactly on SEO topic but is there any online tools that will scan a site for malware and identify exactly what files are infected. I have a site that was hacked and I've remove most of the malware but there is still some there that I can't find.

Hi Scott,

It sure is an SEO topic! If a website has malicious code in it and Google detects it, that website can undoubtedly suffer from a drop in rankings.

Thanks Brian... I already tried that site and it comes up clean but google's telling me there is still malware on the site.

Is it a Wordpress site? This plugin is one of the most widely used for Wordpress virus protection and cleanup.

Here are three others I've used in the past with good success. Sucuri in particular is solid.

I can second the recommendation for Surcuri.  Very solid technically, and run by really smart people.
