Will more landing pages with related keywords improve ranking of main keyword?
-
Hi all,
We are in the process of creating new landing pages and noticed something what our competitors been following with landing pages. They have created multiple landing pages targeting the related keywords of a main topic / main keyword. Like "seo defined", "seo history", "seo benefits", "seo strategies", "types of seo", etc being "SEO" as main keyword or main topic. Will this works?
Thanks

hi vtmoz,
I can see all this keywords of being there own topic, sure they use the same main keyword / topic "seo" but they are not the same. A page about "seo history" and "seo strategies" can have substancial different content and cater to a different search intent. If you have good content for all these keywords its a sound strategy to create multiple landing pages for them.

Thanks for the response. Do you think employing these kind of related pages will impact the website ranking for main keyword?
Thanks

Well it would aid in relevance which could impact on rankings. But the degree of impact depends on a lot of other factors http://searchengineland.com/seotable
