Advice for structuring hotel website
-
Hey guys,
I am currently setting up a hotel booking website and I'm not so sure how to structure it.
I have landing pages for:
1. Cities
2. Sights
3. StatesThe main keywords are mainly "Hotels in Cityname" or "Hotels near Sightname".
What would be the best SEO friendly way of structuring the url?
_https://hotels-example.com/hotels/cities/cityname_
_https://hotels-example.com/hotels/sights/sightname_
_https://hotels-example.com/hotels/states/statename_or
_https://hotels-example.com/hotels/cityname_
_https://hotels-example.com/hotels/sightname_
_https://hotels-example.com/hotels/statename_or
_https://hotels-example.com/hotels-in-cityname_
_https://hotels-example.com/hotels-in-sightname_
_https://hotels-example.com/hotels-in-statename_Or are there better ways of structuring it or am I just overthinking it?
I would greatly appreciate any advice and suggestions

Best,
Max

I would go with hotelsexample.com/state/city/ for the city pages that list all the hotels in that city. For the listing for each hotel I'd go with hotelsexample.com/state/city/hotelname.
For the sightname it makes sense to put these under the city they're in: hotelsexample.com/state/city/sightname

Your long tail traffic won't be directed to your own serps... but mostly to your hotel pages. Regarding your landing pages, I would personaly suggest you think of removing the /parent (cities, for example)
