Is there a new way to demote sitelinks now that it’s not available in the Google Search Console profile?
-
We noticed that one of the sitelinks showing up in one of our clients' search results was an old PDF that has been deleted, so the link was 404ing. We resolved the issue, but in the process we noticed that there is no longer an option to demote sitelinks in Search Console like there used to be.
We were curious what the best option is to modify which pages appear in Google Search results?
Is there a new way to demote sitelinks now that it’s not available in the Google Search Console profile?
Thanks!

Hi there,
Still don't know whether it works. Have you tried a request to demote from the index that URL?
In SC, go to: "Google Index" then to "Remove URL". It might do the trick.Best luck.

Hi Gaston,
Thanks for this response! Yes, that's actually what we did. We were wondering if there is a non-workaround way to go about it, though.

Cool.
I'd love to hear about the success of it.
