Aged Domain .VS. Expired Domain
-
This topic still seems unclear in the SEO world. Even "experts" can't seem to give a satisfying answer, so I'm challenging Rand Fishkin and/or associates to answer this one, for the community's sake!
With respect to choosing a domain, which is better? And why?
Aged domain (without pre-existing backlinks) OR Expired domain (with pre-existing backlinks)?
Looking forward to your response SEOmoz

Perhaps you need to consider that the reason the "experts" haven't given you a "satisfying" answer is because there isn't one?
There are so many "it depends" factors involved in evaluating the answer to the question you're asking that it would be irresponsible for any prudent SEO to even attempt to give a blanket answer.
In my opinion, the answer could only be arrived at on a case by case basis after evaluating a large number of interrelated factors related to the domains, the business goals, and the purpose of the new site. And the evaluation would likely be different for each set of circumstances.
Obviously, I don't pretend to be one of the people you've "challenged", but I think you've oversimplified the question to the point where it's unanswerable as a simple A or B proposition.

Hello Syed, I wrote an article about domain names, specially those previously owned, an aged domain does not mean it will be good, read this article and hope you find the answer.
