Search Causing Duplicate Content
-
I use Opencart and have found that a lot of my duplicate content (mainly from Products) which is caused by the Search function. Is there a simple way to tell Google to ignore the Search function pathway? Or is this particular action not recommended?
Here are two examples:

Hi there,
Yeap, there are ways to tell google to ignore these duplicate content. I know 2, there might be more:
- Add canonical tags pointing the search result page to the page without the query.
- Set the URL parameters in Search Console (formerly Webmasters Tools) so as google acknoledge your web's search.
Here some resources:

Thank you for this. Google Tag Manager seems to be the most effective tool, but will the Moz Tools pick up on this or will it keep flagging my pages as Duplicate Content and so on?
