Schema training/resources for local SEO?
-
I am currently in the process of apply schema for dozens of clients (many are large retailers).
Although I am not a developer, I do know the basics of schematic markup & structured data. I do work with a development team and I'm trying to provide them with schema application best practices.
Obviously there are many good articles/blog posts out there about schema. However I'm looking for a more substantial training course, webinar or resource website about schema application. Does anybody have any good recommendations?

I hope this is not too simple an answer, but schema.org is my go to place. Depending on the page or content you can simply select the type and then normally at the bottom of each type of content there is an example of its applciation in html mircodata or via json. I hope this help.

Along with what Tim said, I typically search on youtube.com or look on Lynda for a video. The only one I found on Lynda is SEO for Local Visibility. One section does get into schema. Good luck!

Hi Rosemary,
Tim is right - Schema.org's own documentation is likely the most thorough you will find. I've not heard of anyone teaching a course in this, I'm afraid. May be you'll need to create your own little help doc, linking to the various Schema tutorials and interesting 3rd party blog posts for your team to reference as needed. I'm a big believer in building these types of internal help docs for teams

Thanks for the responses!

I second Rosemary's request. I'm looking to better understand schema and tend to learn better through instruction. If anyone's willing to teach a course, I'd definitely consider attending. Kevin and Tim, thanks for the resources.
