Demote subdomain sitelink?

Google search is creating 4 sitelinks for a website.  One of these is the blog (blog.website.com).    Webmaster tools allows for site links to be demoted, but there is no way to demote the blog we which we don't want to show up since it is not a "/" extension.   Is there a way to remove it as a site link?

If you want the blog to remain in the Google index, you can't just get that sitelink removed via a submission form.  You'd need to understand how your SEO and information architecture have caused it to become a sitelink in the first place, then take action accordingly.

Which means it could be an easy change or a complex process over time, and even if you think you know how your SEO and IA caused the blog to become identified as highly valued, you may not fully identify the cause and thus may not succeed in changing things. Ultimately, it's about driving multiple signals to Google that "this is among the most important linked content we offer", though that's a very over-simplified concept with several considerations boiled down into one statement.

Hi I've got the same problem.

Theres got to be an easier way to do this? Our subdomain is a banking product which doesnt allow for external access (for some silly reason).

Any assistance or advice would be fantastic as a long term strategy would probably annoy a few customers.
