Sharp Drop in SERP Ranking for Specific Keyword
-
I'm sure this happens to a lot of people for a lot of different reasons.
My pages http://www.cleanedison.com/leed and http://www.cleanedison.com/courses/leed-green-associate suddenly dropped off the map over the past 2 weeks for the keyword "LEED Certification"
I tried to limit the number of times "LEED" was mentioned on the first URL (/leed) to try to combat an over-optimization penalty but I did not for the second (/leed-green-associate).
Both of them have fallen precipitously and are no where to be found on Google.
What can I do to troubleshoot this?
Is there anyway to guard against this in the future?

Why not use "leed certification" as you anchor text in your menu instead of "leed". This will give you a small boost.
As you can see here http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/links?site=www.cleanedison.com%2Fleed you don't have any links (internal or external) pointing to this page with the exact or partial anchor text "leed certification".
My guess is that you are not providing a good information to Google.
One side note: did you know you have a plenty of spammy backlinks poiting to your home page with the anchor "leed certification"? Check this http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/links?page=1&target=page&sort=page_authority&group=0&site=www.cleanedison.com&return_page=1&return_target=page&target=page&return_source=phrase&anchor_type=phrase&anchor_text=leed%20certification&anchor_id=14855739949
