Tracking purchases from social

We would like to know how many orders are being placed by clients that are coming to our site from any one of the social media sites we use. I know that we can track how much traffic is coming to our site from each social site but short of asking people at POP how they found out about us, is there a more exact way to tell how many purchases are coming from social?

1. You'll need to have goal tracking and/or e-commerce tracking enabled in Google Analytics

2. Create URLs with tracking parameters to define source / medium / campaign etc, see:
