How do I find keywords for a product which is out in a few months, which we are setting up a preorder page.
For example a new car is out in a few months, not much information is given out on the vehicle but we are setting up a new site page for preorders.
The product would be: http://www.mazda.co.uk/coming-soon/new-mazda-mx-5/
At the moment I'm finding it hard to produce keywords which would drive traffic.

Have you tried using keywordtool.io? I really like the keyword tool in Bing Webmaster Tools also. They updated it awhile ago and it gives pretty good suggestions. You could also try going to Google and typing in New Mazda and researching some of the suggestions that come up.

Like Monica is suggesting- keywordtool.io is great. Being a bit of a car freak myself - Brand + Modelname + (model)year are the most popular terms for new cars - in combination with review/price/launch date... Given the fact this particular model was already shown on the Paris motorshow there should be enough information available to write some interesting stuff about it.

If the car is a completely new model, part of marketing's greater job is to create a market with PR and make it a keyword people were searching for. In 1995, no one was searching for Prius, for example.

Erica has a nice answer above.
For building out the long tail, simply look at the long tail of other car models.
You might end up with things like: mx-5 horsepower, mx-5 safety rating, etc

Thank you guys for your responses, they have all been of great help.
You have provided me insight into how to further my research capabilities!
