I have a website which was coming to google first page but suddenly some other website has replaced it.

Try moz tool "keyword research" which tells you precisely what ranking factors or helping a particular URL to rank higher. This can help you fix those factors for your website (but may or may not be in your control completely)

Could it be possible that visitors are put of by the email sign up form that pops up as soon as you visit the site. This could cause a very high bounce rate and reflect poorly to the search engines. Just a thought.
I would suggest at least an option to close the sign up form.

I have some questions for you:
-
How are you measuring search rank for page one? Not sure what the reality of that is.
-
What does your Google Analytics say about actual traffic out of search?
-
Do you pay attention to your Google Webmaster Tools for this site?
-
When did you notice the problem and what were some of things you did prior to that?
In the meantime, I would get rid of email box as smartcow noted. This is such a horrific user experience (not being able to close it) that it must drive bounce rate way up, helping to tell Google that it is a bad search result.
After ditching the email box (maybe trigger it on a second page and allow for user to close it), fetch pages via GWT for Google to re-crawl. There is a pretty big difference between Google's cached result for your homepage and the homepage as it is.
Without actual evidence of some black hat plot to kill your site, I suggest keeping an open mind to less nefarious/more likely possibilities. Fear can decrease your perception of facts.
I look forward to your answers to the above.
Best of Luck!

Maybe the site of the competitor is a new (or rather new) site and maybe they even use black-hat tactics which they get away with at this point. On of my client experienced the same. The competitor used very black methods to get a lot of pages ranked (splitted up words like vacuum cleaners and vacuum-cleaners for every page). I advised my client to be patient and keep focussing on what is the right thing to do.
For you I have the same advise. Don't focus on your competitor but focus on your own site and business. Focus on Social Media, on getting new high quality links, on improving bounce rates, time on site, CTR etc. If you have done all of that then your site should start outranking him completely.
Years ago I read a nice article about the value of SEO. It stated that if 2 websites about the same subject both want to rank for the same keyword. Website A has only 10 backlinks, no social profile, no on page SEO, etc but still ranks no.1 Website B has 1000 backlinks, good social profile but also no on page SEO. Then all of the sudden website B gets ranked no 1. The values stay the same. How to improve website A again ?? Build massive links? Could be! Start using Social? YES! but most importantly start using on page SEO. By doing that correctly you improve the value of everything else. Internet Marketing is not about backlinks, not about just some titles, meta data and keywords but the one amplifies the others. Make sure you do everything because it amplifies each other.
