Books to Read?
-
Hi All
Does anyone have any book recommendations for a digital marketer looking to expand his knowledge. Im aware that obviously in such a fast paced industry books can go out of date very quickly so was just wondering if anyone had read any worth reading?
Thanks in advance

I would recommend looking around on the internet to find good guides/artciles to read.
If you have a Kindle/other ebook-reader create PDF's of the guides/articles, and import them to your ebook-reader for easy reading when offline. I am not a expert on SEO, but after a couple of decades working with computers my opinion is that books are rarely worth it for topics that forces you too always be up-to-date. (SEO)

Just read those sites every morning and you'll be up to date on everything. Books are a waste.

Check out a couple of other threads on the Moz Q&A that talk about upgrading their RSS feed subscriptions. I would really recommend reading more about digital marketing and SEO via blogs then from books for now. If you really have the feeling that you're on an advanced level on most areas then you might want to start reading books as they're usually to me a bit more inspirational.

Definitely this one: http://www.webanalytics20.com And I would recommend you to read author's blog Occam's Razor too.

In addition to DM/IM books, make sure you expand your business knowledge. Knowing how customers tick and how SWOT works rarely goes out of style.
My suggestions:
- Primal Branding
- Influence (Cialdini)
- The Lean Startup
- Lean In (Sandberg)
- Think & Grow Rich
- Selling the Invisible (Beckwith)
- The Slight Edge
- Excel for SEOs
- Blue Ocean Strategy (Gladwell)
- Crossing the Chasm
- Decoded (Barden)
- The Innovator's Dilemma
- Never Eat Alone
- Psycho Cybernetics
- Rework (Fried)
