Duplicate Content Issues :(

I am wondering how we can solve our duplicate content issues. Here is the thing: There are so many ways you can write a description about a used watch.

http://beckertime.com/product/mens-rolex-air-king-stainless-steel-date-watch-wblue-dial-5500/
Whats different between these two? The dial color. We have a lot of the same model numbers but with different conditions, dial colors, and bands..
What ideas do you have?

If they are the same model/specs but only color/band changes, it should be 1 product page with multiple options.
So you'd have the mens-rolex-air-king-stainless-steel-date-watch page and have different dropdown options for the dial (blue, silver), options for the band (stainless steel, leather)
In the actual category page, I would still display each version of the watch but link to the same page with a variable so that the correct options are preselected. Then be sure to set a canonical on the product page to avoid any duplicate content issues.

Was thinking about spinning the order of the page content as well. What is bobswatches.com doing better than us for onsite that I don't see?

but also different conditions! Scratches in different parts. These are pre owned watches.. that the thing. We may just have to create variation pages. Thank you for your reply.

Duplicate content isn't a big deal for ecommerce sites, you're unlikely to be penalized for it.
