It's very hard to say how long it takes to reach the first page of Google, but there are many things you can do in order to boost that timeframe, such as regularly creating original and fresh content, ideally on a daily basis through the means of a blog or new pages.

Ensure your sitemap (http://www.makemyassignments.com/sitemap.xml) is submitted to Webmaster Tools and you are keeping an eye on it for any errors with crawling etc.

Nobody can answer that question without studying:

-- the search terms that you are attacking

-- the methods that you are using

-- the amount of time that you are spending

-- the intensity of your competition

One of the greatest problems with SEO is that people are unable to answer this question.  For example, a retailer might want to be on the first page of google for "digital cameras" and hires an SEO saying that his budget is $1000/month.  But that is probably not enough to accomplish the goal. Why?  Because his competitors have a fifteen year head start and they are working at a rate faster than $1000/month.

Because some SEOs do not know how to answer the question, or just take the $1000 and do the work, lots of webmasters are paying good money to attack a goal that will never be reached.

So you might never accomplish a goal, even though you know how to accomplish that goal.

The time it takes to reach the first page will depend on your link building strategy. Everything else is pretty much irrelevant and those who suggest otherwise are being dishonest.
