Klout, is it worth it? What for? And why?

I am looking at Klout and wondering what its best for and if its worth the effort?

Do people use it on here? If so what for? If not, then why not?

I get that it ranks users and you can filter stories/posts these users make to report, share and hopefully gain interaction? Is this correct?

But what else does it offer?
