How google treats .co domain? I mean google treats .co domain as global or for columbia only?

It's similar with the dot md TLDs.
Both are country specific TLDs but if the settings are right (on mage and within Web master Tools) you can use the dot co as a global domain with no problem.
The difference is very small - but there are some UX issues especially if the same domain with dot com is in a similar niche.
By small I mean if all other things equal on a doc com and on a dot ca, the dot com will still have the edge on a global scale.

Hi, I have the same problem, I have a few brand dot co domains but they never get ranked, I've had to put them for sale. I agree, what does google dowith dot co? tigi.co bedhead.co & tigihaircare.co,premium names but never found...

Per Google from WebMaster Tools:
"Google treats some ccTLDs (such as .tv, .me, etc.) as gTLDs, as we've found that users and webmasters frequently see these more generic than country-targeted. Here is a list of those ccTLDs (note that this list may change over time)."
Within the list is .co. So, Google treats .co as a gTLD. Eyepaq makes a good point re the UX issues and .com with same domain.
