        I'd say that what you are currently doing is best.

        "My other concern is that we are anticipating receiving comments on these summary posts which will create unique value to us. But my thoughts are that unless it is a ton of comments it wouldn't make it unique enough to have the content indexed. "

        If the comments add value to your business even with the content noindexed, then keep doing what you're doing.  But, if the hope is to get enough comments so that you get Google traffic to these pages, then obviously you need to remove the noindex.  If you're going to do that you have to make sure that the pages add significant value over and above what the user could get on the originating site.

          I'd concur with Marie - the use of noindex, follow is the most appropriate in this case.
