Logo linking to homepage causing 404 errors in crawl
-
The logo link on my Wordpress website is generating some weird crawl errors in the MOZ crawl and in Google Webmaster tools and some weird URL's. I'm not sure how to fix. Can anyone help?
For example my FAQ page is looking at the link on the logo like it's another page and generating a URL in the crawl like this
http://www.videobrochures.ca/faq-frequently-asked-questions/www.videobrochures.ca
any ideas on how to fix?
Should I make it no follow? Or is there a way to block in robots.txt?
Obviously, I can"t disallow: www.videobrochures.ca

I'm not sure if this has been fixed, but I've just run Screaming Frog on your site and is couldn't see any major issues.
One thing you might want to look into is the H1 tags on your shop items in uncategorized, don't seem to be populating properly.
All I see is PHP script.
Hope this helps.

Definitely don't No-Follow it. It's just the Mozbot failing to identify the link properly. I tested the link with two different tools, as well as a visual inspection, and it is totally fine.
Sometimes you need to ignore errors like that. I typically rely on Screaming Frog for my site indexing. It's free, and super efficient.

Thanks for your reaching out to us, Paul! I'm Maura Hubbell, a software engineer working today as part of the Mozzer Alliance.
We saw in Google's cached copy of your page that you have some links as href="www.videobrochures.ca". This is a relative link because there's no "http://" in front of "www", i.e. "www.videobrochures.ca" will get appended to the URL of the page it's in.
We can see that your site now has href="http://www.videobrochures.ca", so somebody has fixed it. Yay! Our next crawl of your site should pick up the fixed links. Please let us know if you need help.
Thanks,
Maura Hubbell
