Is there a tool or service that will post product reviews from an aggregator site onto our site's product pages?

Okay. I've been doing SEO for e-commerce sites for about 6 years now. I have seen how much of an impact collecting product reviews from your customers can be. I've used the built-in product reviews in Volusion and am currently using PowerReviews in conjunction with a small niche site I built for my company this year. I really like PowerReviews a lot. I think they are poised to get even better now that they've been acquired by BazaarVoice.com  User generated content is crucial for the future success of an e-commerce site.

Here's my Conundrum.

I am trying to convince my CEO to implement PowerReviews on our main site. The site sells a lot of high end audio video equipment. He insists that using Power Reviews will gather reviews too slowly and that what we need to do is install something that will show reviews from a review aggregator site. While I am very familiar with review aggregators, I am not familiar with using them in this way.

I believe he is talking about something like http://www.reevoo.com - Does anyone here have any suggestions or experience implementing something of this nature?

Are there any major pros or cons that I should be aware of going in? Thanks!

Well, it wasn't my intention to answer my own question, but I have found exactly what we were looking for at http://www.testfreaks.com  Another possibility is http://reevoo.com  I spoke with Alex there and the functionality is there, although their crowdsourced reviews are mostly UK customers so might not be a perfect fit for us. For those of you looking into this, something interesting that I found out is that the aggregated reviews almost always appear via a javascript lite box, which isn't crawlable or indexable by search engines. Consequently, the crowd-sourced reviews aren't going to give you any benefit in terms of User Generated Content. However, most of these services, including the two I've already mentioned, will manage the follow up email review requests and customer reviews from your own customers. Those reviews are posted on your site and are uder generated content. It sounds like the best of both world in that we will have access to crowd-sourced reviews to help our CRO, while building a library of our own customer-generated reviews.

In addition to http://www.testfreaks.com and http://www.reevoo.com, I did find one USA based service connected to http://PowerReviews.com that offers aggregate reviews. The were just acquired by http://www.bazaarvoice.com and can serve up aggregated reviews from numerous manufacturers for customers who are inside the Power Reviews platform. For anyone who's a smaller site trying to compete with the big dogs, this is really a great breakthrough. We would use these in addition of course to our own customer reviews, which will build gradually over time.
