At first: if there is any issue you should be able to read about that within the GWMT... although the data for the Index are not very accurate and even not up to date, the graph should be helpful to see a trend.

If you check the site parameter it reveals that Google has indexed approx. 28.000 sites - so do you think that this reflects your site (according to the quantity) in a proper way?

I think the question is less about potential indexing issues - I can't logically see why there would be any. The second-level domain just says you're in the UK, in the same way that in .co.uk the second-level domain just says you're a company - and more about user issues. The reason I would never advise a client to purchase a .uk.com domain is that they just look funny. And when people are making split-second decisions - and they do when scanning search listings - having a funny-looking domain could put people off, lowering click through rates compared to if you had the .co.uk version.

It's been made pretty clear by Google reps lately that every TLD, every ccTLD, and every page/site has just as much of a chance of ranking well in the search results as any other site or page. It just needs to meet enough of the "search engine ranking factors" in order to rank above other pages.

If you are having trouble getting your site or page indexed, then there's another issue at hand, such as a server issue that you would need to deal with. If that's not an issue, and it doesn't seem to be since you're saying that it's already ranking, then I would tend to look at the links to the site and the link profile to see if there are issues there.

              Hi Bill

Thank you for your response, I run my own business and also get involved in the SEO, so there are always interesting things to learn. Your thoughts are similar to mine and in fact we are currently working on our links, having recently moved to a cleaner quicker server. Again thank you for taking time to reply,

              Regards Mike
