      For some reason, my spiders can't see a client's metadata even though I can see it in the source code. Any reason why that would happen?

        robots are blocked or its coded wrong. Those are pretty much your only reasons.

        Perhaps you can provide a link for us to check out?

          As Oleg said -

          Please check the following

          1. Robots.txt file -- may be they are not letting your spider access the pages

          2. Please check whether you are meta tags are correct

          It would help if you can post your meta tags here

            I think it may be a server-side error. I think there's a rule written into the server coding that's causing spiders to read things wrong. The Client is having issues with redirects, as well. Their 301s are turning into 302s.

            The robots.txt file is fine and it's coded properly. Unfortunately, due to confidentiality reasons, I can't share the link.

              In Webmaster Tools, go to Crawl > Fetch as Google and fetch a page on your site. What response code and HTML does the spider see?
