How can I improve the number of people responding to our contest link?

1. You contest violates Facebook guidelines, so you're in danger of it being taken down. I'd look at that first. You're not supposed to use any FB features for your contests, such as "likes, comments, shares, etc." I also think you're supposed to use a 3rd party App for all contests (but I can't remember if that's just recommended or a guideline).

2. If you decide to keep your contest the way it is, then I would do the following. So here is what happened to me when I went on it. I saw the post, I clicked on the hyperlink that navigated me away from FB, just so I could read that I needed to post a comment back on FB. I would change the navigation because it is cumbersome. I would just put all the info on the post and "pin it" to the top. I'd include the deadline too. Also, this may be the time to spring for a $15-$20 advert to promote the post.

Very important update! I was 100 percent wrong in the first part of my response. I'm very sorry, but I didn't realize Facebook updated their guidelines two days ago. I just found out in another forum. You can now use likes and comments for your contests, i.e. no more use for 3rd party apps anymore. So, with the new guidelines, your contest conforms with the rules. I would change the navigation as mentioned earlier though.
