MozBar in Chrome hides the top of the web page
-
I prefer the MozBar at the top of the browser. When using the Firefox browser the MozBar does not hide any of the web page. When using the Chrome browser the MozBar (depending on the site) often hides the top portion of the web page. Is there a way I can use the MozBar at the top of Chrome and get the same functionality as Firefox?

Hi Christopher,
This is a known issue, we have a fix in place that allows you to move the toolbar to different places, but we know this is not perfect. The reason it functions differently to FF is Chrome treats extensions as part of the page (i.e. you 'inject' the HTML/CSS/Javascript) into the page, where an FF extensions get their own section of the header. This causes complexity when it comes to the 'injected' code interacting with the existing page, resulting in annoying issues like hidden pages, and javascript errors.
We have some ideas about how we want to address this in a future, for example, we have talked about having a more solid concept of on/off, perhaps activated by the browser extension button, and maybe a blacklist of sites that it would automatically turn off for (e.g. GMail, JIRA). Watch this space....
If you have any ideas I would love to hear them!
