      Hi Guys,

I really cannot understand why I am no longer rank 1 on SERPs?

My link data shows great weight in comparison to competitors, my on page SEO is good, nice and diverse on the alt text. I know there are a lot of factors that effect SERPs but I believe I have done well but am still not ranking?

      Have I missed something?
I really appreciate any thoughts and ideas.

      Thanks,
      Tom

          Hi EGOL,

          My domain is http://www.tomlondonmagic.com
The SERPs are Magician London, London Magician, Magicians In London.

I forgot to attach this - sorry

Delete the meta keywords for starters. Your page title is a bit long so try to shorten it if you can. You also have too many H1 tags on your page.

But the biggest thing is your spammy link profile. You have some really poor quality links going to your page

              Hi Noah,

Thanks for this, so in effect, my poor links are outweighing the good!?

I would say to use Google's disavow tool for a large portion of your backlinks.

For instance you have 42 links with the anchor text "<a class="clickable title link-pivot expanded" title="See top linking pages that use this anchor text." data-text="exhaust systems investigation" data-id="41149175134">exhaust systems investigation"</a>

What does that even mean in regards to your site? And they are all on spammy irrelevant pages.

                Good luck cleaning things up

I believe that is someone performing some counter SEO as I definitely didn't make those!

Isn't is harmful using the disavow tool?
Should I just disavow all spammy link below a certain PA/DA?

                  Thanks once again!

                    Following on from NoahGlasers comment.

Use the disavow link - however we used it on a new SEO client we picked up recently and so far its done nothing for us at all. We are trying to clear up their spammy link profile to.

That said I have seen disavow tool bounce back sites that dropped due to overly spammy link profiles outweighing good links.

                      Tom,

                      copple of things:

                      1. Your title has 3 instances of magician London in it. Delete at least 2. I never use more then 1 instance of the keyword in a title because it could indicate your are trying to manipulate the SERPS.

                      2. Clean up your source code. Use external files for CSS of the website also for Google fonts etc.. Your actual page starts on line 202 of the source code. Clean it up. Bring up your cope to at least line 75-100 preferable higher.

                      3. Agree with the other comments and clean you your backlink profile.

With those things combined together you should see some improvement.

                      just my 2 cents

                      regards

                      Jarno
