After Receiving a "Googlebot can't access your site" would this stop your site from being crawled?

Hi Everyone,
A few weeks ago now I received a "Googlebot can't access your site..... connection failure rate is 7.8%" message from the webmaster tools, I have since fixed the majority of these issues but iv noticed that all page except the main home page now have a page rank of N/A while the home page has a page rank of 5 still.

Has this connectivity issues reduced the page ranks to N/A? or is it something else I'm missing?

In Webmaster Tools go to Health >> Fetch as Google and check your homepage as well as a few others indicated in your problem.  If they can be fetched then Google can crawl your site ok.  This will not effect your PR.

I've done this and it seems to be able to fetch the pages without any issues, I was thinking the error message above may have caused most of my pages to drop to a page rank of N/A but if it can fetch them successfully this must be untrue.

Can anyone think of any other reason why this might have happened?

Hi there - I'm not 100% sure without looking, but I do know that depending on where you get your PR it might be "toolbar pagerank" which is not updated often, and not current to what your actual PR is. Did the other pages have any PR before?

But as Mike said, I doubt this has caused an actual drop in PR.
