What is rds?
-
Hi,
On the MOZ bar there are a couple of links. I understand most of it, but what is an RDs??
PA - page Authority
DA - domain authority
Lks - links (to this page)
RDs - ?? -
Root domains i suppose. Where exactly do you see RDs?
-
I think Wesley is right. "RDs" mean "linking root domaind" which means the number of root domains (not individiual pages) that are linking to your site (URL). I believe you are seeing this via the Mozbar in Firefox, is that correct?
-
yep It's got to be Root Domains
I'm just trying to get my head around the whole system so I can start promoting a couple of key words.I think I've got the basics, just finding it hard that there's no tutorial on using Moz to out perform competitors in search results gggrrrrrr
I've done the whole new 'learn' bit (top of page), but that only covers general SEO (which was helpfull as a refresher) but I can't find a 'this is how to use MOZ to beat your competitors' tutorial. It all seems a bit analytical, lots of great info, but no linking tips on out promoting a competitor. Still got to do the hard work by hand LOL
I mut be missing something - although I have now changed my strategy and i'm working on an SEO campaign page by page :
Doing a key word search
Then analysing each competitor for that search term
Analysing my page for that search term
and then I just need to start promoting it and seeeing what happens

As Dana says it's on the firefox moz bar - great tool

If you haven't seen it already, watch his full MozCon 2012 video here for free: http://moz.com/blog/2012-mozcon-videos-are-here It's the second big image link on the page. It's priceless.

Just watched that video - I've been talking about that for years. If you do RCS you'll engage with your customers and they'll do the link building for you.
My interested is in getting moz to work for me as opposed to me woring for him
LOL
