Links from automated translations can damage the source?

I've a website dataprix.net composed by automated translations in diferent languages from original contents from another website, dataprix.com. Is good for dataprix.com to be linked by the contents of dataprix.net as the source of translated content, or could be considered by Google as a lot of low quality links and result on penalties for dataprix.com?

A few years ago I had a website featuring some computer related articles. It was Adsense monetized. Like you, I thought translating the articles in a few languages (French, German, Spanish) is a good idea. It went well for 2 years, really well. But than, all of a sudden, Google removed from it's index all those translated articles.

Automatic translation it isn't accurate. If a native speaker of that particular language reads the translated article will just LOL. So, automatically translated articles are considered to be spam.

Regarding your question, you could use a rel=nofollow on your source citing links.
