Site Ranking Goes Down

HI Jayneel, you are up against some stiff competitive websites like mashable, apple itself , smashing magazine and amazon -- for the same keyword and these guys are huge in content and social media syndication.
I haven't looked into your link building strategies yet but I see that your organic kws have dropped badly in the last few months. meaning its not just a single page problem but an overall website authority problem.
I don't see much of your content (compared to your competitors) getting shared and networked. I feel there are two choices here, work hard at making this site more accessible through content and/or branch out to variations of this key-phrase.
Unfortunately on a situation like this - trying to counter algorithmic updates is of no use because eventually algos are going to get stricter and stricter so thinking of long term goals via content syndication can save this page and the overall website.

Hey Filsupport,
Thanks for your reply. We are doing the link building strategies as below:
1. Forum Posting
2. Blog commenting,
3. Social Bookmarking
4. Directory Submission
5. Press Release Distribution.
Let me know if you have some other advice on the SEO strategies we need to do....
-
I notice you have been:
"We are doing forum posting, blog commenting, press release submission, social bookmarking & directory submission as daily." https://productforums.google.com/forum/?fromgroups#!topic/webmasters/jXbG3Y4vWvc
That is not a very wise thing to do and will, at best, not be helping you and at worst, hurting you

Hello Jayneel,
Oh! So now your identified the problems yourself... these are all the activities that Google hate at least to an extent...and yes there was a #24 Panda Update as well and these updates are going to come and kill the lower quality websites from time to time
I think you should seriously consult some SEO auditor who audit your website and design you a strategy that will allow you to build some highest quality links and get your rankings back in Google.

Hi Jayneel,
I think your problem lies with your concentration of keywords causing a penalty.
You have over 5000 links to that one page of which 47% are for iphone app development, 25% iphone application development and 12% iphone development
That's not natural and probably the cause of why you find it impossible to rank for those terms. You need to, potentially, undo the work you have paid to have done and once the penalty clears move forwards in a more balanced manner.
To do this you'll need a full link audit and a plan to get you back to a more balanced link profile.

ugh. cease all activities except for press releases. hopefully you were doing this to internal pages only and not the homepage?
consider this page nuked if it completely fell out of the index for your targeted keyword.
http://www.openxcell.com/mobile-application-development/iphone-app-development.html
let it 404 and create a new url for this page which is slightly different and fix the navigation on your site to point to that new page and it will have the chance to rank for that keyword again.

Jayneel, the link building strategy you are using is very non-organic and orthodox. If you read the other comments below, you will actually understand that the community here on this thread is all hinting at a wrong type of link building which doesn't work anymore. You don't have to completely kill this effort but work on the quality and relevance from the pages you are linking back from.
You can observe cbpayne, brian-h (below )and myself dont think this link building is strategic these days. Irving above is also headed toward the same conclusion.
My advice would be to re-invent the page and start with content enrichment and work on a community that can share this knowledge. I think instead of writing more about what is iphone app development, think of how you do Iphone app development, let your content people work with your developers to come with more insightful stuff that will get a handful of shares and likes.
Compared to the competition I mentioned before, if you were to focus on making this page amazing, you have a chance. But I don't think it can be done by links building, you need to earn each and every one one at a time. Will take long for sure but you can get there.

Hi Jayneel,
Not much to add to the really great and helpful comments on this page. Using SEOmoz Keyword Analysis Tool the Difficulty score for "iphone app development" is 68, which is highly competitive. Would love to see a blog about the challenges and issues surrounding iPhone Apps - the kind of content that other developers and consumers would love to read. This would give you the opportunity to earn more editorial links as well as give you additional "long-tail" content to potentially rank for that isn't as competitive as your target keyword.
On the link building stuff - I agree with the consensus of the others here. If you look at the backlink profile of the page in Open Site Explorer - http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/anchors?site=www.openxcell.com%2Fmobile-application-development%2Fiphone-app-development.html
I'm not sure if there is an "ideal" link profile vulnerable to Penguin updates, but this one must be close.

Keep us updated on your progress. Best of luck with your SEO!

Hello Cyrus,
After very deep keyword analysis on SEOmoz Keyword Analysis Tool. We set keywords on our different web pages but We are facing the same problem which Jayneel said above
Following keywords are not to appear in the SE ranking with targeted URL
mobile development company[US] [ http://www.theappguruz.com/ ] - KD is 50
game development[US] [ http://www.theappguruz.com/game-development ] - KD is 58
Please Let me know what's the reason behind these?
Regards,
Vivek
