        Dhee.

I actually have a client thats in the skin care treatment field ( not specifically acne treatment ) but more anti aging.

Ok a few musts. First off if you are trying to rank for the word " acne treatment " good luck. Too many companies vying for that keyword and to be honest based on the conversion and PPC cost ( NOT WORTH IT ).

Your better of trying to do a more long tail or chunky keyword ( which in the future will help you get ranked for the phrase " acne treatment " anyway ), do some good keyword research and you will find some really good ones trust me.

Second, i have seen google not give so much weight to EXACT MATCH ANCHOR TEXT, so your best bet would be a closely related variation of that keyword.

top ten acne treatments, best acne treatments, etc.  I am sure you can use some tools like adwords keyword tools to help you find good variation of closely related terms that hold weight in value.

Good rule of thumb. Make sure the page or content or infographic you are linking to matches what the anchor text is. You will be surprised, how many anchor text i came across that did not have matching content or even had 404 pages. Funny, but it exists.

Also if you have some say into what is being written or can get two links it would be even better. Make sure you use some good content related wording adjacent to your keyword.

" Runell has many skin care treatments available for any skin care needs , even acne."

Its a sloppy sentence, but in general is covers words like

        *skin care treatment

        *skin care needs

        • ance Treatment

        • Skin care Acne

I have seen some people even do an entire sentence linkable.

Site wide links are always better.

        One-way best practice as well.

Also make sure they link the name of the site along with the anchor text. I have seen the rankings boost versus sites that dont.

Hope this helps, i know i went above the scope of Anchor text here.

        Best Wishes,

        Hampig Minassian (CEO )

The best way to use anchor text is to do it naturally.  You may want to watch a white board Friday from a few weeks ago that talks about anchor text:  http://www.seomoz.org/blog/prediction-anchor-text-is-dying-and-will-be-replaced-by-cocitation-whiteboard-friday

            Hi Kadesmith and Minassian,

I watched White board Friday and it says, it doesn't care about anchor text actually, it focuses more on the text present near to the link. But What Hampig said, is to vary my anchor text as much as possible. I am confused about here, which strategy should i follow?

Currently, i built some guest posts related to health niche sites. But, i am still at #17 page for my keywords, i don't think it is a good position, i just got on #2 page and stood for few days and jumped to #17 page. But now, at myblogguest, i requested every site for guest blogging opportunity in health niche, they are not accepting my niche as i almost finished every blog who accept my content, now i even started doing guest blogging on other niche sites, by writing the posts they wanted and i am just putting a link to my blog. I don't it will work well.

All of my competitors are ranking well with their own made blog network of links. But i am trying here to rank only with guest posts. Can you suggest me some more link building methods where i can work on and also, please do advise on which way to use for anchor text distribution.

              Dheejar,

I just want to stress again the part where I said, "do it naturally".  For example, if you are commenting on a blog, it is probably not natural for your name that is linked to your site to be something like Skin Care Treatment.  Your name should read, Dheejar.

If you are posting a blog article and you say something like, "For more information about skin care treatment, click here", then the words "click here" should be your anchor text because that is what is natural.

Keep in mind that SEO is not a "get rich quick" game.  It takes time to build links naturally.  Sometimes it takes 2-3 months to acquire one good link.  Very rarely do you get lucky and produce content that gives you 100's of links.

You really need to focus on building content for YOUR site that others will link to because it is interesting content.  For a new site you can do the little things like submitting to dmoz and a few QUALITY directories.  Beyond that, it is about building your site so that people will want to visit it.  If you don't feel comfortable telling someone to visit a link on your site because they would think it is dumb, make a link on your site that isn't dumb.  Create some humor related to skin care treatment, tell your friends about it and links will come.

                Hi Kadesmith,

Thanks for your reply and your valuable suggestion. I got a few couple of quality directories like botw.org etc, apart from that, i doing guest posting right now. Finding blogs which accepts guest posts in skin care treatment are very less. Should i write content for other niche sites also like iphone, android, computer problems, travel related blogs and in the authors resource section a like like for more information visit this site like link will work?

Please let me know. Thanks in advance...

If you can somehow write articles about iphone...etc that you can tie in to your topic, those would be great.  However, if there is an article about cats and all of a sudden at the end of the article the topic changes to "Oh and if you want to more about Aliens, click here" that will not seem very natural.  Search engines are getting smart enough to see if a link is truly topic related or not.

It's kind of like the dog on the movie Up who can't focus on what he is saying if there is a ball nearby.  Don't be like Doug and say something like this, "...and that's why an ergonomic keyboard is good for your health.  If you'd like to know more about Skin care visit this site."  It just sounds really funny.

                    Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply. But what do i do now? I am getting limited opportunities for guest blogging in my niche..Is there any other types of link building i can concentrate on? I tried as many health related blogs for guest posting and published my guest article there, still my rankings are not upto the mark, i need more links to get ranked well. Can you suggest me any? I thought of doing guest blogging in other niches well, but as you said in the above post, it doesn't look natural. Now i have no way getting niche links, Please can you advise some..

Now you are asking the question that every SEO eventually asks, "What do I do now?"

This is an uncomfortable question to answer because you can't just go to Google and say, "What do I do now?"  You have to come up with the answer to this. You have to figure out what is best for your site.  Until you figure out the magic formula for what you need to do now, I recommend that you build content for YOUR site.  I really don't have much more for you.  As you build more content, you'll think of things to do now.
