      Hi All,

We have a booking website we want to optimize for keywords we cannot really show, because some of our partners wouldn't want it. We figured we can put said keywords or close synonyms onpage in various places that are not too dangerous though (e.g. image names, image alt tags, URLs, etc.).

The question is how much keywords we can target though? We know keyword stuffing is detrimental, and we will not start to create long URLs stuffed with keywords, same for H1 tags or page titles. So how many is acceptable/not counterproductive?

      Thanks!

I would suggest optimizing one keyword per page . Google's been really aggressive with the over optimization penalty. Better to be safe than sorry.

Also want to clarify that having a keyword in the alt text or the URL is not technically "hiding" the keyword. The word "hiding" can have a strong connotation to black hat SEO (e.g old tactics like making the keyword font the same color as the background of your site)

I had to laugh at EGOL he did not waste any time, short and to the point..

I'm not an expert like him but from my limited experience he is totally correct you don't want to go down any kind of attempts to hide keywords pop in the black hat on. I think if you want to rank for a keyword you've just got to go through it competition will always be there.

Well; we don't want literally to hide it. The keywrods are very relevant to the end user. It's not like we want to mislead the search engine or the end user. But...it cannot be too conspicuous.
