Blog engagement award system (like on Moz)

Hi guys,

Does anyone know of something similar to what Moz uses for it's community engagement awards system?

We're launching a new blog and are looking to give points (which might be transferable into credits to spend in our online shop) for guest posting, commenting, likes, etc...

I've found various "ranking" systems of course but none quite do the trick.

I would guess the Moz blog and Q&A are a bespoke build so they can make it do exactly what they want.

If you are using WordPress this may be close to the kind of thing you are looking for:

If this was me I would try to find something as close as possible and then dig into the code and hack it into exactly what you need (or get someone else to do the hacking if not your thing).

Might be sticking with your one... Gigya is serious $$$ and I work for a charity so not got the budget. So yeah I think that plugin will have to do it.

Hey, the WordPress one looks pretty solid anyhow and like you say, better than spending $$$ (or £££).

I would recommend steering away from Gigya, I have had nothing but problems with them in the past. Their API is garbage and their support is pretty bad. I've had probably 10 different conference calls with their account managers(employee turnover rate is very high BTW). Their developers are helpful, but sometimes hard to understand being scattered around various countries.

Thanks Casey, that's handy to know... was still considering them despite the costs as I 'assumed' at such high rates the service would be excellent but I guess it's not always a case of you get what you pay for. Cheers for the heads up
