      Hi,

What I meant is should I use the above mentioned account as rel=author for category pages etc?

It seems to me improper to use my account (with my picture) in a category page and to show my face in the SERPS for searches like "Toshiba Laptops".

On the other hand, if in the SERPS it will show our Logo it might increase CTR...

      Any thoughts?

      Thanks

Using rel=author helps to protect your content from being copy/paste. You should use this link on every page with content which belongs to you. It shows Google who is the author of the page's text.

According to the picture in SERP results, I can say that this privilege mainly for bloggers, however I successfully did it for one of my clients in dental field. Now if you will type "dentist dubai", you will find his picture in SERP. Unfortunately y ou can't use your brand logos or any other pictures (this is from my experience).

On the last point I will agree with you, however as I said you can't put your company logo.

        Hope it helps,

        Russel

          Thanks for the fast reply.

I agree with you that in some cases where you buy a service from a person and not a company (i.e dentist, lawyer, CPA etc.) it makes lots of sense and will probably help CTR.

However, if I can't use a logo, then it is just for the articles and not for the categories (even though there are informational texts there).

          Thanks
