Best practices for Google+ business accounts?
-
Somewhat of a beginner at this and haven't found my way around the in's and out's of Google+ quite yet. I've ran into some issues creating an email separate from mine and doing a Google+ account that way for the business. Can I get some help on best practices for businesses on Google+? What works? What doesn't? How one should go about it?

http://jclink.me/g+business http://www.hubspot.com/how-to-use-google-plus-for-business/ The best thing to do to be honest, is to read and follow these best practice guidelines so you can start optimising your profiles. Good luck, Vahe

Hey Anne

I have a great group (circle) on G+ of active people that give great info about G+ - I don't know exactly how to share them with you so I just shared them on my feed. If you give me your profile I can tag you so you can find it easier.
They've helped me - I hope they help you

Here's my profile on G+ https://plus.google.com/100275578007710806253/
btw, you should update your moz profile for your G+ because I tried to link to you but I didn't see it

Ok, here's the super lame thing about that. I am so new at G+ I don't even know how to link my profile.. or what my public ID or username is.. I can't seem to find it. Epic fail.

No worries
Here's how to find your G+ profile IdStep 1 -
Go to your G+ feed
Step 2 -
Click on the profile link (I attached a pic)
Step 3 -
Copy/paste the url and take off "posts" at the end

Hi Anne!
This is definitely an issue people are running into when setting up brand pages for Google+. The good thing is that you can have multiple people be admins of a brand page. So if you create it under one email address (I created the SEOmoz one under my own personal account), then you can add other admins after it's created.
Here's a great post on getting started with Google+ http://searchengineland.com/google-pages-now-open-for-businesses-brands-places-more-100217
Here's a great post about using Google+ for SEO: http://www.blindfiveyearold.com/google-plus-seo
Here's a great video from Rand about why it's necessary: http://www.seomoz.org/blog/why-every-marketer-now-needs-a-google-strategy.
Hope this all helps!
