Google Not Reading Our H1 Tag?

The red box picks up text related to your search... It's not relevant to your H1.. BTW your site is built with tables, I would recommend a redesign without tables.

Leather, the Google snapshot is showing the red box around your H1 content for me. It's also around the first line or two of the description under your H1. The black highlight box reflects your H1 content and a snippet of the description.
Your source code is showing the same content in your H1.
I might be missing something, but it looks okay to me.

CMS and tables...another matter.

That's not his H1 tag, that is his regular content.
TIP: In Chrome highlight the text field that is showing up (below the image and Item Description) Right Click and select Inspect Element.

Thanks Donnie. Good tip. I should have blocked it up like that and wouldn't have lost it in the source code.
I don't want to hijack the thread, but it lends itself to another question.
We don't put H1's on the product name (but down below above the content where I thought it was).
Is there a common or best practice in regards to placement of the h1 on product names?

H1's are used as Headings ideally, If you are targeting a keyword on a page its good to use the keyword within the H1 (with diversity)
Here is one of our product pages:
