Is it possible to just use Excel's data tab "Text To Columns" and split the data on commas or whatever the delimiter is?

I haven't had this issue before but that may help with the CSV if you use Excel.

sorry donford I'm mac user 🙂 but I've notice on other computer with MS system and and brand new ms office that when opens csv it exchanges e.g. 459/2011 (agreement no/year) to date. Nobody could supply me a solution for this issue, so I added a space before the number and now I read it as text 🙂

MS in his save the world mission sometimes add features that are not really helpful

I am still struggling with this. I am using Numbers on my Mac, and I have tried to change the file extension to txt, but I'm still seeing everything in one column.
