Tracking sales by email in analytics

Hi everybody,

This is not exactly a SEO issue but maybe someone of you knows how to solve it.

I am launching a massive email marketing campaign and I would like to be able to track the sales generated by this campaign.

The first step I did was to create a URL with analytics including UTM parameters to identify it.

This works, so I will know how many clicks I got.

Now I want to track the sales generated by this clicks. To do so I created a Goal, but unfornately it is not working.

Does any of you have any experience with this?

Hi Guido,

So you have created the Goal, how did you set that up? Maybe there is something wrong there.

Try this:

Go to Traffic Source - > Campaigns

Instead of Site usage (that will be in the top) click on the Goal you have set up.

What you will gain: traffic from Campaign to the goal which you have chosen.

I hope this is what you have been looking for.

Hi Istvan, Thanks for your answer. I created 2 goals: 1st) /Thankyoupage following a path. the one I am interested to track. 2nd) /Thankyoupage without any path. Both goals are showing completitions but when I check my campaign they way you say it does not show any completition. Any idea what could be going wrong? Thanks, G.
