How much SEO benefit am I getting from 'affiliate' links?
-
Hi all,
We run lots of different campaigns with affiliates and as such they have links on their websites pointing back to ours. I was keen to know how much 'link-juice' these kinds of links are passing back to our websites or how much SEO benefit we are getting from them. The links have "?=affiliate" in them.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!!
Many thanks!
Rob

From what I can find on the internet, it depends. Matt Cutt's has stated that these types of links are for profit, so would typically be devalued. However, a few people have found value in these types of links.
Soooooo, it depends on the situation, but the main purpose of your affiliate network is still in place; to get more leads.

Hi Rob,
If the links back have nofollow in them I do not believe they will add any backlink benefit to you. The benefit you receive is what the affiliate links purpose was intended for – to drive sales.
Here is an interesting article that wills hed some light on your question. http://tentblogger.com/affiliate-links/
Hope that helps.
