+1 articles and opposed to a website

What is the difference if a friend on Google +, +1's your blog entry as opposed to your blog (as a whole)?
Will it be displayed differently to their network or better yet, have a difference in their search engine results the next time they search for a relatable keyword?

Personally I would say that a +1 to an article that is relevant would be more important because it brings attention to that article and we have seen Google now listing +1 pages in the index based on the search query. As well if that friend has others in their Google+ profile if they are logged in and search and see that persons photo they are more likely to click giving a better CTR opp.

I also just responded to a similar question: http://www.seomoz.org/q/benefits-of-1ing-a-sub-page-vs-root-page#post-66917 that I think will be helpful as well!
In essence, it might not even make a difference for Google. But, what I like about +1ing a page is that it then shows up in your feed so others will see it and you'll probably get more eyeballs on the specific content.
Hope that helps!
