Why are my sub-domain metrics so bad compared to my root domain

Dave,
I am not sure I understand your question as the only sub-domain is the www.When you look at OSE (see attached image) there is no real difference between the two. The top level domain is the .com, the root domain is the .com with the domain name - dirtbikebitz.com, and the subdomain is that portion that precedes the root domain www.dirkbikebitz.com. Or if you had other sub domains: Example.dirtbikebitz.com or motocross.dirtbikebitz.com.
Is there any clarification you might provide?

Hi Rob,
Thanks for your quick reply
I've attached the image of my results. As you can see from the chart my sub domain metrics look pretty poor compared to my root and also my competitors and I dont really understand why this would be or what may be the cause
I hope this helps

I have updated the img above so that you can see it. I have the root as dirtbikebitz.com and the sub as www.dirtbikebitz.com. If you have the same sub domain, I do not see how they can be that different. If you are still having issues with it, I would suggest checking with help@seomoz.org.
I am at a loss as to anything else.

Thank you for your help Robert,
I'll ask the help desk and see what they come back with.
All the best
