      Hello!

      Advice is much appreciated.

I'm targeting two keywords, primary and secondary. Should i bold just the primary keyword or primary and secondary? The same for the alt tag and URL. Should i include just the primary keyword or primary and secondary?

      Thank you.

      Shane

Here is what I do... I'm not saying it is the best way... just sharing.

I don't bold anything unless the context of the content commands it.  I think that SEO bolding puts a bad odor on my content.

My alt tags contain words that precisely describe the image.... and if you have done a good job of sourcing your images that usually produces keywords in the alt tags.

I try not to let the nuances of SEO drive the way I run my websites...  I am not saying that I ignore SEO - I don't. ... just saying that I try not to do things that make my visitors wonder... "Why is this bold?"

Bolding keywords is an outdated SEO technique that only makes it looks as if you're trying to over-optimize your content. Don't spend time worrying about things like bolded or italicized keywords, instead use that time towards creating great content that people will want to link to.

            I agree Egol.

On page optimization should flow naturaly. You can give it a gentle nudge, but if you have to to force it, your proabably doing it wrong.

I bold keywords as a way of emphasizing particular words or indicators. If I am trying to provide some detailed instructions or help and advice I will bold a section so the reader knows this is a very important part of the process.

Everyone has different perceptions on the use of bold in text but if it actually helps the reader then it will also help the SEO part.

I agree obvious bolding of text is so old skool and so obvious at times.

              Be authentic .
