Domain Authority Growth
-
Been playing with the historical linking data (nice feature, by the way) and I see a graph which shows the increase in my, and my competitors', domain authority in the previous month.
My competitors have averaged a growth of about 1.6 and I have gone up by 2 in this period which is good, however is 2 really that good for a month? What would other members' consider to be a decent growth? To add context, the domain I have in this report went from 26 to 28. Obviously going from 90 to 92 will be difficult but I have a feeling I should be doing more to grow faster at the lower levels.

I would think from 26 to 28 is pretty good. It also would look quite natural.

I just checked mine, and I seem to be getting about 2-5 per month for the few websites I'm working on. (they are currently in the 20-60 range)
-
that's good growth. I guess as long as my site is going up faster than my competitors it's all good.

Just noticed on one of my sites, in a different campaign of mine to the original question, one of my competitors has dropped from 66 to 62 in the past month. That's very interesting considering they are one of the major UK high street fashion chains. My site has gone from 25 to 33 in the same period.

I believe that SEOMoz made a change to linkscape recently that may show larger movements in the last update. The are trying to include more sites rather then going depper into each site, this may have a big affect as i have seen a few stes drop as otehrs have metioned.
It may be better to judge on future updates rather then the last one.
