Where to start?

Im new to the SEO world , I know how to do a few things but im just starting to see how fascinating SEO is. Ive done all my research , I know my competition , my keywords , etc. Im looking on some advice on where to start..  On what I need to focus , on the Page Linking Root Domains , on the Root Domain Linking Root Domains ,  ?

Welcome to the exciting world of SEO!

A great place to start is with "The Beginner's Guide to SEO" here on SEOmoz.

You've probably heard of the age-old saying that "Content is King", which indeed it still is, so important to have a well thought-out Content Strategy.

From Content, other areas such as Inbound Links can follow, link building is another fascinating and important part of SEO.

So rather than bombard you with an endless list at this point, consider the following (links included) :

1. start with the Beginners Guide to SEO as mentioned above
2. ensure that your website is in great shape SEO wise, both technical and on-page aspects  (check out some SEO Ranking Factors )
3. ensure that your website provides a great User Experience
4. work on a Content Strategy including Creation and Distribution, which will then lead you onto other areas such as Link Building.

That will get you off to a great start.

I would think that where you start depends on what you have done.

It would be hard for anybody to do anything more then point you to the beginners guide

That said...

As far as getting links, that really is one of the last aspects and atleast for me, a never ending process. What you want before you start worring about who is linking and from what domain is make sure you site is built correctly.

Title Tags, Descriptions, appropriate use of keywords, favorable unique content, correct internal linking, appropriate alt tags, use of H1 - H4 html attributes.. all this in no particular order.

To begin with I would start by taking each page, and evaluating it for that pages top keyword with the on page analysis tool. There it will make suggestions on what you can improve.

Once you're comfortable with your content and SEO pass. Then start submitting to search engines, and work on building your link structure.
